Pool Memberships
You can now purchase a Pool Membership online using the options below. IMPORTANT: If you are purchasing a 'FAMILY' or 'COUPLE' membership, please only select 1 family member during the process because the system will charge you for each person you select for that membership. Our staff will be sure to apply the membership to all applicable family members after reviewing the transaction.
Aquatics Programs / Lessons
Come out and learn to swim through the Recreation and Parks Department. We offer a youth winter swim course at Adelphi on Saturdays and well as summer swim lessons for youngsters at the Garden City Pool. In order to participate in Winter Swim, children must be six years old by the start of the class and a resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City. All children must be members of the Garden City Pool and six years old by the start of the session in order to attend summer swim lessons.
An explanation of each level is as follows:
Level 1 – Introduction to Water Skills
Level 2 – for children who have taken a lesson but need to learn fundamental skills
Level 3 – will build on fundamental skills by providing guided practices
Level 4 – Develops confidence in the strokes learned and improve other aquatic skills
Level 5 – Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes
Level 6P – Personal Water Safety - stresses survival floating, treading water, swimming in clothes, etc.
Level 6F – Water Fitness – sessions will cover learning training techniques, how to use fins, kickboards, pace, clock, etc.
